Embracing The Darkness

I Kneel within the meridian of the henge
My head lowered before the goddess
My hands poised on my lap
Up turned as an offering
My body stripped of cloth

The zenith of the coven
Runic symbols etched along thy arms
Blood weeps form thy skin
Life’s essence exuding from thy body
I raise my head to speak the words

"dea noctis embrace ac tenebras"
(the goddes of the night, embrace the darkness)

Those around this sacred henge
Clocked in blackness
Fused with shadows of darkness
Repeat the words in ancient tongue
A chant crescendos into a sonnet

"dea noctis embrace ac tenebras"
"dea noctis embrace ac tenebras"
"dea noctis embrace ac tenebras"

My whaling scream
My head thrown back
My arms outstretched
My eyes blackened by the ether
The darkness embraced

Collapsing on the stone
Come hither cloaked ones
Cometh to the apex of the alter
Raise the silver of thy blades
Etch the symbol in thy self

Blend thy essence with thee as one
Embrace the ether
Embrace the priestess
Embrace the goddess
Embrace the dark
